Time Management Quest - (Create 1.1.1)

Time management, without question, is a very important part of every successful educator.  All five of the tools I've selected are applicable in both personal and professional situations and are instrumental in helping me keep my professional edge.

Prioritize:
This enables you to formulate your strategy for when each task should be completed.  Just like in the real world,  your online priorities need to completed in a timely fashion.

Calendar:
This has saved me from time to time from forgetting something important. However, it's a bit easy to depend upon this tool too often at times.  If I accidentally forget to put something on the calendar, there's a pretty good chance I won't remember it otherwise. I utilize Google calendar, which is a fabulous online tool.

To-Do List:
An online To-Do list goes hand in hand with my calendar.  This tool assists me making certain keeping tabs on my priorities and the things I need to accomplish every day.

Allow Ample Time:
Often things end up taking longer than we anticipate.  When we plan for the unexpected, an extra margin of time if you will, that extra time will allow us the wiggle room we may need to get things done before the deadline even when the unexpected happens.

Focus:
Sometimes removing the distractions are key.  Close the windows on your computer that may be distracting.  Silence your phone so you don't hear every single SmartPhone tone that comes your way.  Close your office door if you have to during that hour or two you need to get your priorities taken care of.
